Teen Summer Reading Program

Victor Public Library to Offer Teen Summer Library Program

Area teens are encouraged to participate in “Beneath the Surface,” the Victor Public Library’s ten summer library program from June 15 to August 10.  Teens are invited to come to the Library and read for prizes as well as take part in special events offered throughout the summer.

Special events this summer will include “Better Safe than Zombie” with presenter Steve “the Zombie” Adelmund on June 15th at 6:30 pm, a “Warm Bodies” Teen Movie Night on July 12th at 6:30 pm, and a Teen Film Festival on August 10, at 6:30 pm.  If teens are interested in creating an original short film to enter into the Film Festival, they can stop in the Library to pick up an entry form.  All films must be submitted by July 31st.  All events are free and open to the public.

Beginning June 15th, teens in junior high and high school can stop in to pick up a reading log.  Attending events and completing portions of the reading log will allow teens to be entered into a drawing for one of two grand prizes, a Victor’s Market Gift Certificate or a goodie bag.
