The Library Installs New Carpet

The library will be closed for carpet installation.

The Victor Public Library will be closed Saturday, August 27 through Tuesday, September 6 to have new carpet installed.  In preparation for this event, the library has been cleaning out many older items from the collection and has them for sale in the Library meeting room.  Please come in during regular business hours to browse the selection of books, movies, and more.  Regular hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 9:00am to 6:00 pm and Saturday 9:00 am to noon.
The current library building was built in 1989, so the carpet is 22 years old.  The worn out carpeting will be replaced with carpet tiles in two different carpet tile styles.  This will allow certain areas to be highlighted with a different pattern for greater visual appeal.
The collection and furnishings will be moved with the help of the Victor Boy Scout Troop 226, Warren Winners and Lincoln Loyal Leaders 4H clubs, the Victor Library Teen Board, and the Library Board.

This resource is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by State Library of Iowa.
